Your Progress, Everywhere You Look
No single dashboard to hunt for — your stats live where you already are, and most of it is free.
Five Places, Not One Dashboard
MainQuest doesn't bury your stats behind a separate analytics screen. Your consistency data is spread across five real places:
- The Chronicle — a free journal of every quest you've rated and reflected on.
- End of Day Review — a free nightly recap.
- Your check-in streak — free, and simply for opening the app each day.
- Progress — a Pro-gated dashboard with the activity heatmap and a deeper KPI breakdown.
- Each skill's own page — mastery stats specific to that skill.
None of this lives on the Calendar screen, despite what an older version of this guide said.
The Chronicle: Nothing You Write Gets Lost
Every quest you complete asks for a quick 1–5 star rating and an optional reflection. The Chronicle keeps all of it — a running, reverse-chronological journal of every quest you've rated and everything you've written about it. Free on both platforms, no exceptions.
It's the place to look before writing a big end-of-week reflection — you've usually already said something worth reading back.
Your Check-In Streak (Always Free)
Separate from any quest or habit streak, MainQuest tracks one more number: how many days in a row you've opened the app. It advances just by showing up — not by completing a quest, checking in a habit, or doing anything else once you're in.
This one is never gated. It shows on your profile, and it stays visible right at the top of the Progress page even if the rest of that page is locked behind Pro.
Progress: The Deeper View (Pro)
Want more than the free streak? Progress adds a GitHub-style activity heatmap and a KPI breakdown. It's a real Pro feature — the free plan doesn't include it — and it's noticeably richer on web than on mobile:
Without Pro, the page still opens — web shows a blurred, faded preview of the real layout; mobile shows a plain locked screen with no preview at all. Either way, the free check-in streak above still shows real numbers, not a preview.
End of Day Review
Every night, the End of Day Review closes the loop — quests completed, XP earned, focus time, and a clean count of what's still active, so nothing quietly falls off your radar. Free on both platforms.
Anything still open just rolls forward into tomorrow — it's a recap, not a scorecard.
Skill Mastery Pages
Each skill has its own stats page, separate from everything above — your current rank, hours logged toward the next one, a weekly-hours chart, your average hours per week, a consistency percentage, and a pace indicator (“Ahead of pace,” “On track,” or “Behind pace”) toward whatever rank you're working on.
It also lists the habits linked to that skill and the quests and achievements that fed it — the fullest single-skill view in the app, and free on both platforms.
Why It's Split Up
Spreading stats across the surfaces where they're actually useful means you see the data at the moment it matters — a recap when you're closing the day, a streak every time you open the app, a heatmap when you're thinking about the bigger pattern, mastery stats when you're deciding what to focus on next — instead of a dashboard you only remember to check occasionally.
